Terms of Service
Sidestep is a free neighborhood utility app for iPhone. These terms describe what you can expect from Sidestep and what Sidestep expects from you. They’re written in plain language because Sidestep itself is a simple, calm app — the terms should feel the same.
Using Sidestep
Sidestep is provided at no cost for personal, non-commercial use on your own iPhone or iPad. You’re welcome to use it however it helps you plan your day around nearby stadium events.
Please don’t attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the app’s source code, and don’t use Sidestep in a way that interferes with the MLB Stats API or other services it depends on.
No warranty
Sidestep is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Schedule data comes from the MLB Stats API and can be inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable. Sidestep is a helpful hint about your day, not a guarantee about game times, traffic, or crowd conditions. Always use your own judgment when planning travel around a venue.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sidestep and its author are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to missed events, travel delays, or decisions made based on schedule information shown in the app.
Third-party services
Sidestep uses publicly available event data sources — currently the MLB Stats API — for schedule information. Sidestep isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any league, team, venue, or event organizer whose schedule is displayed in the app. Additional data sources and event types may be added over time.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change meaningfully, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated and the change will be noted in the next app release.
